Saying It With A Posters

"I feel it's a reflection of the times," she explains. According to the artist, B-grade films are something that a 'common man' identifies with.
"If you look at these posters, you'll realise they are all over the city. To the man on the street, this is what he identifies with. My paintings try to capture that quality of life," says the artist.
Ask Shrilekha what her favourite film is and she says there is no single one that she can pinpoint. But yes, her all-time favourite heroes are still the matinee idols of the 70s and the 80s.
"My era of Hindi films is of the 70's and 80's, I loved the whole gamut of them," she laughs, adding, "I remember that every second person back then wanted to look like Rajesh Khanna."
