Rs 10K For Police Chief's Missing Pet

Police commissioner Yudhbir Singh Dadwal's pet dog has gone missing. It's a 12-year-old black dachshund, Toto. And Delhi Police is sparing no efforts to trace it. Posters have been pasted all across New Delhi area and a reward of Rs 10,000 has been declared for anyone who gives information about the dog.

Dadwal's favourite pet has not been seen since the night of March 25-26. The commissioner himself has been a bit under the weather and has not been seen at the police headquarters for the past three days.

The men tasked to bring the dog back are at Tughlaq Road police station. They have a photograph of her resting in her basket. Anyone lucky enough to spot her can call up on the mobile numbers mentioned on the movie posters. Not that the cops are sparing any efforts without eyeing the reward. They have been asked to keep a sharp eye on the canine population of the city in order to track her down.

The dog had gone missing from Dadwal's residence on Satya Marg in Chankyapuri. According to a senior officer, it seems someone just picked her up and went away. Posters have been pasted at markets, bus stands, dog clinics and places where dog food and other articles are sold.

This is not the first time that the Tughlaq Road police station has to deal with the case of a missing VIP dog. In July 2006, a pomeranian, Simma, had gone missing from the residence of R S Bedi, a former chairman of the National Technical Research Organisation.
