Binay Asks Fernando To Immediately Remove Posters In Makati

Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay on Thursday asked Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Bayani Fernando to remove the latter's posters along EDSA in Makati as soon as possible, radio DZBB reported.

Binay has threatened to personally remove the movie posters, which have been considered by many as political campaign materials.

On Wednesday, authorities caught three persons vandalizing posters of Fernando in Mandaluyong City before dawn.

However, the three vandals - two men and a woman - managed to evade MMDA personnel.

The three reportedly smeared what appeared to be black ink over a poster of Fernando with a message that read "Kaayusan, Pagbabago sa Kapaligiran, Pagbabago sa Kaisipan."

The suspects scrawled "KDMY... Berdugo" over the poster message. The incident took place near the Starmall in Mandaluyong City.

Fernando drew flak for cracking down on squatters and enforcing discipline in the Metro Manila.
