Another A Century of Olympic Posters

An exhibition coming to the Victoria and Albert Museum next month could be of interest to those on family breaks at the Montague on the Gardens, a luxury hotel in London.

A Century of Olympic Posters will be shown from May 17th until September 7th 2008 and could ideal for children and parents who wish to learn more about the Olympic Games ahead of the event in Beijing later this year.

Posters from the past 100 years pertaining to the modern Olympic Games depict this "greatest sporting show on Earth" and the exhibition will explore the representation of the Olympic Games to the public.

Coming ahead of the Beijing Olympic Games of 2008 and in advance of the build-up to London 2012, exhibits will include the Victoria and Albert's own collections of movie posters as well as more recent acquisitions.

"This exhibition celebrates physical and sporting achievement and offers inspiration to the athletes of tomorrow," the museum notes.

And as LondonTown notes, following the "furore" around the recently released 2012 Olympic logo, it is clear that the graphic representation of the Olympics is something that is not to be taken lightly.
