Student Posters Displayed At Carver Museum

One of the major components of the recent George Washington Carver Arts & Crafts Festival was the involvement of Macon County students. More than 100 students submitted paragraphs, essays, posters, and creative poetry for the annual event.

Students expounded on the festival theme, "The Scientific Genius of Dr. George Washington Carver." Two of the very unusual and original movie posters were displayed at the Carver Museum on the campus of Tuskegee University.

During the May 15, 2008 Promotion Day at Lewis Adams Early Childhood Center, Professor Elaine C. Harrington, Festival Education Chair, presented the posters, student artists and their teachers, while making the exciting announcement of the display at the Carver Museum. She congratulated the students and hailed them for such authentic and creative poster presentations. Each student was also academically promoted to the first grade.
