Sophie and Spice Introduces Posters Made with Children's Art
Online shop Sophie and Spice just introduced a solution: art gallery style movie posters created with children's artwork. Parents can simply mail in the artwork and graphic designer Jill Pearson will create a custom poster complete with the child's name, a title, and other text. Mom and dad can further customize the poster by choosing their own colors for the background and text.
"It's a creative way to enjoy your kid's favorite artwork for years to come," says Jill Pearson, who has a BFA in Illustration from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Not only do they make the perfect wall art for a nursery or playroom, but they can be displayed in any room of the house. "A small scribble or puddle of finger paint can easily be turned into an abstract work of art that is perfect to hang right over the fireplace," says Pearson.
Posters can be made with just one piece of art or a collage can be created using many works. Before printing, an email proof is sent so that adjustments can be made. Finally, parents may choose from affordable luster prints or the more high end canvas prints in sizes 11x14 to 24x36. So clear off the fridge and brighten your walls: with pricing starting at just $39 for design and printing there are options for every budget.
Sophie and Spice is owned by award winning illustrator and designer Jill Pearson. The website also sells mommy calling cards, pop art portraits, nursery wall art and more.
