MMDA Chief To Put Up Personal Posters In Provinces

Despite the flak he got for it, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman will bring to the provinces his advocacy for "discipline" by posting posters and tarpaulins bearing his picture in those areas.

DZBB reported early Tuesday that Fernando's men had begun putting up the movie posters in several areas in Northern Luzon.

Fernando insisted the move did not violate any law because he did not spend any government money for the materials. Besides, he said the posters and tarpaulins bore a pitch for "discipline."

He added it is his "personal advocacy" to campaign for discipline among Filipinos.

Fernando is considered a prospect for administration standard bearer in the 2010 presidential race
