Lib Dems Criticise Labour North East Somerset Posters
North East Somerset Labour candidate Dan Norris said he was responding to Lib Dem supporters who want to keep Conservative Jacob Rees-Mogg out.
The Tory said he was unconcerned by the movie posters, but Lib Dem candidate Gail Coleshill said her voters were angry.
Mr Norris said it "really would be impossible" for the Lib Dems to win that seat.
Mr Norris, who has represented the constituency since 1997, said he had produced the posters so that people who traditionally voted Lib Dem could show their support for him in their windows, while making it plain that they were still Liberal Democrats.
The posters say: "Liberal Democrat supporting Dan Norris".
Boundary changes to the seat, formerly known Wansdyke, are expected to make Labour's task of holding it harder.
Labour currently had an 1,839 majority in the constituency at the last election.
Mr Rees-Mogg has previously been criticised by Mr Norris for his aristocratic upbringing, saying he could not relate to ordinary people.
