Posters T-shirts advocate guarded driving

Pelt vocal the family wanted persons to clock a photograph of JLexus to aid send the message about safe driving, especially when it involves children.
She said family members have been wearing the T-shirts to get the word out, and some people even wore the shirts to JLexus ' funeral, she said.
Dr. Harvey White, director of the University of South Alabama Center for Healthy Communities, said the posters came about as a result of a conversation the family had with an employee at the center.
" They were sitting around and talking about how they can make sure this tragedy could be used for something good, " White said.
The family, he said, wanted to take steps to keep another child from being killed by a careless driver.
JLexus ' family, Indy Go Media and the Center for Healthy Communities are co-sponsoring the awareness campaign in memory of the little girl. Pelt said the family paid for the flyers and posters at a discounted rate offered by Indy Go Media.
