" It's tempting to conclude that comedians like Rock and Sandler, should stick to what they do best or most famously - but why promote the disheartening notion that everyone should stay safely inside their little box?
" Reign Over Me " might have been a better movie with someone other than Sandler in the role of Charlie Fineman, just as " I Think I Love My Wife " might have benefited from better acting in the lead role. But that they exist at all is preferable to their not having been made. And if this is due in part to comedians wanting to get serious for a moment, maybe we shouldn't complain.
