Performer Heath Claiborne and his wife benita had heard all of the stories of the Maryville landmark. The Claiborne's put up a replica of the original Capitol Theater's marquee. The marquee is designed with 300 neon tubes, and 300 chasing lights.

Inside, Capitol Coffee is decked out. The walls are covered with old movie reels and movie posters from the 30's and 40's. There's also movie candy, and 12 different varieties of international coffee.

Next door, Heath's art gallery displays his very own work, including water color landscapes and oils. There's even plans for a phase two.

" What we plan on doing next year is get this theater up and running as a special events facility, " Heath says.

Now the theatre is restored to it's former glory and no one is happier than it's owner.

" I wanted to build momentum up, Heath Claiborne says. " I wanted everybody to know that this theater was still here. "
