Pupils Tell Motorists to Drive Safely Near School

A 10-year-old boy said: " Outside schools there's all sorts of things that go on, like parking across driveways. "

As well as designing posters, pupils were given the opportunity to see what problems were being caused on Duston's roads.
A 10-year-old girl said: " We've been outside the school gates, looking at how many people are driving fast and they had to stop so the other cars could get past. We are going to put signs up. "
PCSO Helen Houghton, a member of the Duston Safer Community Team, said: " We wanted to educate parents and hopefully we will do this through the children.
" We're trying to get them to slow down. It's for the safety of the children in our area. "
